Quick Summary

If your kid loves Star Wars and mysteries, this one hits both notes perfectly. The story drops Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon onto a planet where a shady organization called the Syndicat literally erases people's memories to keep everyone under control imagine forgetting your own name just because you asked too many questions. What makes it memorable is how the Jedi have to be extra careful not to let their own past get wiped, which adds this constant low-key tension even when they're doing normal detective stuff. Kids who enjoy stories about standing up to unfair authority and fighting for truth will really connect with the rebel group trying to take down the Syndicat. There's a good mix of action scenes and quieter moments where the characters have to think their way out of trouble, so it works for readers who like their adventures brainy as well as action-packed. Parents will appreciate that it handles some heavier themes like propaganda and freedom in a way that's age-appropriate and gives you plenty to talk about afterward. Fans of the Jedi Academy series or other middle-grade Star Wars adventures will feel right at home here, and at around 24,000 words it's a solid choice for kids moving up to longer chapter books but still wanting something they can finish in a few sittings.
