What we collect

BookSoap does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or account systems. We do not collect names, emails, or any personal information.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request logs for security and abuse prevention. These may include your IP address and browser user-agent and are retained by Cloudflare under their policies. We do not build profiles from them.

Amazon affiliate links

Book pages include Amazon affiliate links (tag: booksoap-20). As an Amazon Associate, BookSoap earns from qualifying purchases. When you click through to Amazon, Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply. We pass along a tracking tag so the purchase is attributed, but we never receive your Amazon account information.

Library links

WorldCat and Open Library links are plain outbound links to those services; their privacy policies apply on their sites.

Children's privacy

Because BookSoap is used by families and schools, we keep it that simple: no accounts, no personal data collection, no behavioral advertising. COPPA compliance is trivial when there's nothing to comply about.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change. That's it. There's no mailing list to notify.
