The Girl Who Cried Monster

"The Girl Who Cried Monster" by R.L. Stine is about Lucy, a twelve-year-old girl who has a habit of claiming to see monsters everywhere, which has made everyone around her stop believing her tales. When she discovers that the librarian running the summer reading program is actually a real monster, she faces the difficult challenge of trying to warn others despite her credibility being destroyed by her past fibs. The book is set during a summer reading program at a library and falls within the Goosebumps horror series for middle grade readers.
