Working Dogs

Working Dogs by Max Marquardt surveys the many tasks that dogs perform for people, including guiding people who are blind, herding livestock, and assisting in search-and-rescue efforts. The book shows the dogs at work in various settings such as farms, city streets, and disaster areas, and explains the training they receive for each job. Written in simple text with clear photographs, the volume is intended for early readers in grades K-3.
