Description
Fifteen-year-old Samuel escapes from Nefandus, a mysterious underworld, and finds himself in modern-day Los Angeles after being abducted from his home two hundred years ago. He meets Ashley, a former servant of Nefandus who now helps escaped slaves, and together they travel back in time to meet Samuel's great grandfather, a wise shaman. Upon returning to the present, Samuel discovers his grandfather has given him a special gift that is difficult to control.
