Isabel and the Hungry Coyote

In this retelling of "Little Red Riding Hood," a young girl named Isabel ventures through the Chihuahua Desert of the American Southwest to bring food to her grandmother. The story follows Isabel as she encounters a hungry coyote, replacing the traditional wolf character from the original tale. The book incorporates local desert cuisine and regional foods into the narrative while teaching children about the desert ecosystem and wildlife.
