Adelina's Whales

Adelina's Whales is a photo-essay about a ten-year-old girl named Adelina who lives in a quiet fishing village in Baja California, Mexico. The book follows the gray whales that migrate every year to the protected lagoon near her home to spend the winter months and give birth to their calves. Through text and photographs, the book introduces young readers to the lives of these giant marine mammals and the special connection Adelina shares with them.
