Hard Time

Annie Ireland's essay is misread by a district attorney, sending the fifteen-year-old, her friend Roach Boy, and a magical creature named Primo trapped in a doll's body to jail. They are then moved to a strange facility that mixes school with boot-camp, forcing them to survive a harsh juvenile-justice system while fighting to clear their names. Hard Time follows their struggle against an unforgiving system and highlights the bonds that form under pressure.
