About this book
In 1882, young orphan Tommy Smith barely survives the sinking of the S.S. Asia, an overloaded passenger ship that went down in gale-force winds in Georgian Bay, Ontario, killing over 100 people. After being nursed back to health, Tommy discovers he has been framed for murder and must prove his innocence. Written for middle-grade readers, the novel is based on the real historical disaster.
