Description
Gramp is a card-playing fanatic and the owner of a mutt named Grit. His grandson Brady, on the other hand, has a strong dislike of dogs. When Brady's mom decides to move from the city to Gramp's small town to care for him, Brady is none too pleased.
Quick Summary
Brady thinks he's getting a boring small-town move, but Gramp's crazy card-sharking ways and the mutt named Grit who thinks he's a poker pro turn everything upside down. Kids will laugh out loud at the battle of wills between a grumpy city kid who thinks he hates dogs and a scrappy mutt who refuses to be ignored, especially when Grit starts "helping" with card games in the most hilarious ways. If your kid likes Ivy and Bean, they'll love this perfect blend of intergenerational humor and unexpected friendship. Ideal for kids in grades 2-3 who enjoy stories about unlikely friendships and sideways family fun.
