The Princess and the Goblin

A little princess named Irene discovers her great-great-grandmother, a wise old queen, who helps protect her from the goblin miners living in caves beneath the royal castle. She is also aided by her faithful friend Curdie, a young miner who learns the secrets of the goblins' weakness. The story takes place in a medieval kingdom where the goblins scheme to capture the princess and take over the castle.
