Strega Nona: An Old Tale Retold and Illustrated (English)

Strega Nona retells a classic Italian folktale in which a kindly witch leaves her young apprentice, Big Anthony, in charge of her magical pasta pot. Curious and eager to impress the townspeople, Big Anthony decides to demonstrate the pot's powers while Strega Nona is away. His well-intentioned but reckless attempt sets off a mountain of pasta and a series of mishaps that fill the village with chaos. The lively illustrations capture the story's humor and the lesson about respecting magic.
