Description
"Riding the Tiger" is an allegorical picture book about ten-year-old Danny, who is new to town and feeling lonely, when a glittery-eyed tiger offers him a ride through the streets of an unnamed city. Danny climbs onto the tiger's back and experiences a feeling of power and respect from everyone they encounter, including shopkeepers and other children. However, the story explores the danger of Danny's situation as he discovers that getting off the tiger may be much harder than getting on.
