The Old Man and the Penguin: A True Story of True Friendship

The book tells the true story of João, an old man who finds a penguin on the shore that is soaked in oil, barely moving, and too weak to survive on its own. João takes the penguin home, cleans him, feeds him, and nurses him back to health. The two develop an unlikely friendship during the penguin's recovery. Once the penguin is fully healed, João returns him to the wild where he belongs.
