Pippa Park: Crush at First Sight

Pippa Park: Crush at First Sight follows Korean American middle-grader Pippa Park as she juggles basketball practice, schoolwork, a part-time job at her family's laundromat, and the effort to fit in with her peers. When her math tutor and the school's most popular boy, Eliot, begins to show interest in her, and her longtime friend Marvel makes volunteering more exciting, Pippa's social world becomes even more complicated. She also deals with the tensions of being caught between the Royals, the group that dominates the school, and the challenges of bullying and maintaining her own identity.
