About this book
Zonia's home is the Amazon rain forest, a vibrant, ever-green world where life constantly moves. Every morning she answers the forest's call, visiting the sloth family, greeting the giant anteater, and running with the swift jaguar. When the rain forest suddenly speaks to her in a troubled voice, Zonia must decide how to respond. This gentle, richly illustrated picture book follows a young girl's deep connection to her home and the responsibility she feels to protect it.
