Quick Summary
If you're looking for a quick, sweet read-aloud that kids ask for again and again, this is it. The story follows two friends who make the bold (and honestly hilarious) decision to stick together and I mean literally stick, like glue and tape and just sheer stubbornness. Smriti Halls' writing has this playful rhythm that makes it perfect for reading out loud, and the illustrations by Ivane Satriani are bright and full of personality. What I love is that it balances giggles with genuine heart the message about friendship being a choice you make every day lands without feeling preachy at all. It's a great pick for kids in kindergarten through second grade, especially those who are just starting to navigate friendships and all the messy feelings that come with them. Parents will appreciate that it's short enough to finish in one sitting but substantial enough to spark conversations about loyalty and compromise. If your kiddo loves silly friendship books, they'd probably also enjoy "The Bad Seed" or "The Day the Crayons Quit" for that same mix of humor and heart.
