Cookie Cutters & Sled Runners

Cookie Cutters & Sled Runners by Natalie Rompella follows middle schooler Ana and her best friend Lily, who share a love of cooking and plan to write and sell their own cookbook. When they are assigned to different partners for the school's year-long Explorations project, they must find a way to keep their dream alive while dealing with Ana's obsessive-compulsive need to wash her hands before handling food. The story takes place in a middle-school setting and explores themes of friendship, creativity, and managing anxiety.
