The Innocents Within

In The Innocents Within by Robert Daley, Jewish refugees hiding in the small French town of Le Lignon during World War II face mounting danger when a wounded American pilot crashes nearby. Led by the charismatic Pastor Favert, the townspeople have been risking their lives to shelter the persecuted. Meanwhile, the regional Reich commander is determined to load deportation trains with Jews from the area, and he suspects Le Lignon is concealing them. The arrival of the American pilot threatens to expose the hidden refugees and the townspeople who have protected them.
