About this book
The Very Boastful Kangaroo is a picture book about a kangaroo who constantly boasts that it can jump higher than anyone else in the animal kingdom. When a tiny, clever kangaroo challenges the boastful one to a jumping contest, the smaller kangaroo uses wit to win the competition. The story is aimed at early readers in grades K-3 and uses simple language appropriate for a 1.7 reading level. The narrative focuses on themes of bragging versus cleverness in a playful setting.
