Cuckoo's Flight

In Bronze-Age Crete, Clio lives with her grandmother Leira in a pottery studio and shares a special bond with her mare Grey Girl. On an island where she and her Trojan-born father are the only people who raise and ride horses, raiders prey on nearby towns, and Clio fears she will be sacrificed to the mother goddess to save her community. She finds comfort in caring for her horses during this dangerous time.
