Pay It Forward

Pay It Forward follows twelve-year-old Trevor McKinney, who, after his teacher assigns the class to devise a plan that changes the world for the better, comes up with a simple idea: do a good deed for three people and ask each of them to help three more. As the chain of favors spreads through his town, the story shows both the hopeful moments when strangers pass on the kindness and the setbacks when the chain breaks down. The narrative focuses on Trevor, his mother, his teacher, and the various recipients of his generosity, illustrating how one boy's experiment in altruism can ripple outward and inspire others.
