Description

It's mayhem in the museum as Dr. Second and his companions find themselves on the run from some abominable baddies.

Quick Summary

Fans of goofy, silly books will get a kick out of Dr. Second this one has that classic rhyming nonsense you expect from the good Dr. Seuss stuff, but it's short enough that even the most wiggly readers can power through it in one sitting. The museum setting is a nice change from the usual school or house scenes, and the chase through the exhibits (you've got to love a book where the bad guys are somehow "abominable") keeps things moving at a fun clip. It's perfect for kids who like their books to make them laugh out loud, or for anyone just getting comfortable with chapter books and wanting something that doesn't drag. Parents will appreciate that there's nothing scary here just good silly fun and the whole thing wraps up before anyone loses interest. If your kid devours this and wants more, I'd point you toward other Beginner Books like "The Cat in the Hat" or "Fox in Socks" for that same rhythm and silliness.
