About this book
Gerald the elephant is careful and tends to worry, while his best friend Piggie is carefree and always smiling. When Piggie tells Gerald she has a surprise for him, she insists he must wait, testing his patience. As they wait, the story shows how their contrasting personalities Gerald's anxiety versus Piggie's optimism drive the humor and heart of the tale.
