At the world's scariest theme park, Zac uncovers a plot that is even more evil than the roller coaster. Book #17
Quick Summary
If your kid loves the idea of theme parks, roller coasters, and figuring out mysteries, Thrill Ride is right up their alley. The story drops a kid named Zac into what might be the world's scariest amusement park, and before long he's stumbling onto something way more serious than a broken ride there's an actual plot afoot, and it takes real courage (and some clever thinking) to crack it. It's got that perfect mix of fun spooky stuff and real stakes that makes kids want to turn the page without being too scary for younger readers. This works great as a standalone adventure, but if your young reader gets hooked, it's Book #17 in a series, so there's plenty more where this came from. Think slightly milder Goosebumps vibes suspenseful and fast-paced, but in a way that makes you want to keep reading rather than hide the book under your pillow. At around 7,500 words with a 4.2 reading level, it's a solid choice for kids moving beyond early readers but not quite ready for thicker chapter books.
