Quick Summary
If your kid loves animals and humor, this one's a winner. The twins Meg and Charlie run a Pet Hotel, and in this installment they're dealing with some especially memorable guests a tiny Seeing Eye pony and a fancy show cat which means plenty of chaos and plenty of laughs. The short chapters and easy reading level make it perfect for kids who are just getting into chapter books, but there's enough personality in the characters that even younger readers will want to keep turning pages. It's got that cozy, feel-good vibe where the kids are actually solving problems and working together, which parents will appreciate. One thing I like is that it doesn't talk down to kids the writing is simple but the story feels real. If your reader enjoyed "The Boxcar Children" or anything with a pet theme, they'd likely devour this whole series.
