Description

In this fourth installment, sixteen-year-old Zara, now a pixie queen, must rally her people and the humans of Bedford, Maine, to halt the destruction caused by a rogue group of evil pixies. As all-out war looms, she balances the heavy responsibilities of leadership with the turmoil of her growing feelings for the pixie king Astley. The story mixes high-stakes fantasy adventure with the personal challenges of uniting two worlds.

Quick Summary

If you're looking for a fast-paced fantasy that reads like a movie, Zara's story in "Endure" hits the mark. Jones knows how to balance the action and the emotional stuff there's war and pixie chaos, sure, but also really sweet moments with the romance between Zara and Astley that never feels cheesy. Kids who love urban fantasy with a modern twist will probably devour this whole series, and even though it's Book #4, Jones does a solid job of catching readers up so you don't feel completely lost. The pixies here aren't your typical storybook sprites they've got an edge to them that makes the whole thing feel fresh. Parents should know there's some scary action (evil pixies aren't just cute), a bit of teen romance, and emotional weight as relationships get tested, all pretty standard for upper middle grade but good to know for sensitive readers. Think of it like a more action-focused "Twilight" meets mythology-lite storytelling, and reluctant readers often can't put it down once they start because the chapters are short and punchy.
