Description

Soon after arriving at Winchesterfield-Downsfordvale Academy for Proper Young Ladies, seven-and-one-quarter-year-old Alice-Miranda discovers that her new boarding school is filled with mysteries. The school has no flowers in the gardens, the headmistress has not been seen for years, and a mysterious stranger seems to be hiding on the premises. As a resourceful young girl, Alice-Miranda sets out to investigate these curious occurrences.

Quick Summary

Seven-year-old Alice-Miranda arrives at boarding school armed with her bright personality, tiny suitcase, and zero intention of following the rules. Kids will adore her spunky attitude as she befriends mysterious classmates, uncovers secrets hidden in the school walls, and stands up to the stern headmistress with clever tricks. If your kid loves the magic and mischief of Roald Dahl's Matilda or the schoolyard adventures in Junie B. Jones, they'll fall head over heels for Alice-Miranda. Perfect for ages 7-10 or kids in grades 2-5 who enjoy spirited heroines with big hearts and even bigger imaginations.
