Description

During a winter field trip organized by the Buzz Aldrin colony, Luke, Yasmin and Yuri expect fun on a frozen planet, only to be caught in an avalanche that forces them into an icy cave. They soon discover the cave is actually the gaping mouth of a gigantic alien creature. Now the three friends must outwit the beast and find a way out before they become its next frozen meal.

Quick Summary

Luke, Yasmin, and Yuri jump into a wild sci-fi rescue mission when they discover a remote planet where humans are hunting defenseless animals for sport only the animals turn out to be far from helpless, with terrifying alien defenses that catch the kids off guard. The trio must outsmart both the poachers and the planet's own bizarre wildlife, leading to a fast-paced chase that's equal parts funny, tense, and a little creepy. Because the story is only about 7,000 words long, it's perfect for reluctant readers who want a complete adventure without a huge time commitment, yet it still delivers enough action and humor to keep fans of series like Hilo turning pages. Parents will appreciate the clear message about protecting animals, while the occasional scary alien moment gives the book a slight thrill factor that's just right for middle-grade readers. If you enjoy a quick, animal-friendly space romp with a dash of danger, Ice Breaker is a solid pick.
