About this book
"McBroom the Rainmaker" is a humorous fantasy story by Sid Fleischman set on the prairie during a devastating drought. When the dry conditions lead to bizarre effects like cows producing powdered milk and mosquitoes growing to the size of small barns, farmer McBroom must find a way to make it rain. The story follows McBroom as he devises a creative solution to end the drought and save his farm.
