About this book
Pongwiffy and the Spell of the Year is a bind-up of two books from Kaye Umansky's Pongwiffy series. In the first story, Pongwiffy, a witch who lives in a bog, finds an old magic spell to help her win the Spell of the Year Competition, but obtaining the unusual ingredients proves difficult and leads her into trouble. In the second story, bored during endless rain, Pongwiffy decides to plan a holiday, but things do not go as expected. The book is written for middle grade readers (ages 9-12).
