Keeping Quiet

Thirteen-year-old Michael witnesses a couple having an argument by a canal and later discovers that the woman was murdered there. When he realizes he actually saw the murderer before the attack, he cannot go to the police because it would reveal he was somewhere he wasn't allowed to be. Instead, he becomes an amateur detective, befriends the victim's young cousin, and searches for new evidence to find the killer.
