Riding Tycho

Demetria lives on High Island where she has known only a harsh and joyless life, surrounded by bullying, guards, and the siren announcing failed escape attempts from the prisons of Low Island across the sea. When Political Prisoner Ianto Morgan is billeted with Demetria's family, he introduces her to a world she never knew existed through his stories of birds, flight, science, and the sea. The book follows Demetria as she learns about the world beyond her island and longs for freedom.
