Description

The book is about a 15-year-old named Chas who writes letters to a Death Row prisoner as a prank, pretending to be his mother. The correspondence takes an unexpected turn when the inmate's replies become increasingly disturbing. Chas eventually finds himself in a young offender's institute, where he learns his penpal has been released from prison and is heading to England to find him.
