Description

The hunters are on the run, pursued by the vampaneze, vigilante mobs and the police. Darren Shan discovers he is public enemy number one. Is this the end for Darren and his allies?

Quick Summary

By this point in Darren Shan's vampire saga, things have gone seriously sideways the secret is out, and Darren and his allies are being hunted by vampaneze, angry mobs, AND the police all at once. It's one of those sequels where the stakes jump way higher than before, and the characters have to fight their way out of impossible situations while trying to protect people they love. Kids who love fast-paced fantasy with real danger and characters who have to make tough choices will zip right through this one. The book does get pretty dark and intense there's fighting, close calls, and some emotional moments where characters face the consequences of their actions so it's best for readers who can handle scary without getting nightmares. If your kid is into other vampire or supernatural series like "The Vampire Diaries" or the "Demonata" books, they'll probably devour this. The pacing is relentless, and Darren's growth as a character throughout the series really pays off here, making it a satisfying read even as part of a longer collection.
