Description

Kenji and Kit are the stars of their school play when they dress up as a cow for the audience. After the performance, the two friends find themselves stuck inside the oversized costume, and the other students start to believe they really are a cow. As the confusion grows, Kenji and Kit must figure out how to free themselves before the situation spirals out of control.

Quick Summary

Picture this: two kids put on a cow costume for the school play and absolutely nail it, but then they get stuck inside and everyone thinks they're a real cow. That's the hilarious, slightly chaotic situation in Top Cow, and kids who enjoy physical comedy and silly misunderstandings will probably ask to read it again right away. The story moves quickly with short chapters, making it a solid choice for newly independent readers who want something funny rather than sweet. There's a tiny bit of mild tension when they first realize they're trapped, but nothing scary just the fun kind of panic that leads to goofy problem-solving. If your kid liked Click and Clack's chapter books or other wacky school stories, they'll likely gravitate toward this one too. It's the kind of quick, lighthearted read that makes kids feel successful while giving them plenty of moments to giggle.
