Wombat in the Wild

Mandy's dream of a six-month stay in Australia becomes an unexpected adventure when she must help a stubborn thirteen-year-old wombat named Batty. When the farm's owner has to leave the farm, all the other animals find new homes, but Batty's gruff temperament makes adoption unlikely. With patience and ingenuity, Mandy attempts to teach the aging wombat the skills he needs to survive in the wild. The story follows their bond as they face the challenges of preparing an ungovernable animal for independence.
