See Ya, Simon

"See Ya, Simon" is a middle-grades novel narrated by fourteen-year-old Nathan, whose best friend Simon has muscular dystrophy. Over the years Nathan learns about the disease from Simon, but he is still unprepared for Simon's rapid physical decline and approaching death. The story follows the effect of the illness on their friendship and family, culminating in Simon's death.
