Description

Aidan never expected a bite of a magical sweet to give him the ability to shoot fire, and now the circus crowds can't get enough of his blazing stunts. As he struggles to keep his secret safe from a nosy newspaper reporter, his beloved circus prepares to leave London, and his cat Lemon develops an alarming habit of turning into a tiger after sampling the same enchanted candy. When a supervillain appears on the scene, Aidan and his friends must scramble to protect the circus and themselves.

Quick Summary

Aidan's flaming talent lights up the big top, and the way he dazzles crowds with his fire tricks feels like magic without ever feeling like a typical superhero story. His mum's worry about him staying on the circus grounds adds a real, grounded family tension that kids will recognize from their own lives. When a supervillain shows up and starts causing chaos, Aidan's friends have to team up fast, using quick thinking and a bit of humor to outsmart the bad guy. The story mixes plenty of action with laugh-out-loud moments, making it a great fit for readers who like their adventures both thrilling and funny. Parents will appreciate the positive messages about teamwork and responsibility, and while there are some tense scenes with the villain, they're never overly scary for the middle-grade crowd. If you liked the mix of circus magic and superhero fun in "The Last Kids on Earth" or "The Dragonet Prophecy," you'll feel right at home here.
