Description

Frank and Joe Hardy are excited to be learning karate, but when someone steals a prized black belt signed by action-movie hero Jimmy Han from their class, the brothers have a mystery to solve. The boys must use their detective skills to figure out who took the valuable belt and why. As they investigate their classmates and search for clues, they discover that appearances can be deceiving. This mystery adventure follows the Hardy brothers as they work to recover the stolen belt and catch the thief.

Quick Summary

A signed black belt from a movie star goes missing, and a group of young friends decide they're the only ones who can track it down. Kids who are into karate, action movies, or anyone who likes a fast-paced mystery will find a lot to love here. They'll search the dojo, interview classmates, and piece together clues, all while dealing with the usual school-day hiccups and a few goofy mishaps that add humor. There's a bit of suspense when the belt seems lost for good, but the story stays light-hearted and reassuring, with a focus on friendship and perseverance rather than any real danger. If your child enjoyed the short, puzzle-filled mysteries in the "Nate the Great" series, they'll likely feel right at home with this one. The combination of a celebrity-level prize, a kid-powered investigation, and a dash of karate excitement makes the story stick in a young reader's mind long after the last page.
