Quick Summary

The weird metal bookmarks that drip a tiny dot of blood when you touch them are the kind of spooky detail that sticks in your mind long after you turn the last page. The story follows a girl who takes one of those bookmarks from a mysterious stranger and quickly finds herself trapped in a ghoulish book club that demands a little blood on every page, and it's up to the brave Librarian to rescue her before the club claims another member. Kids who like a dash of humor with their mild scares especially fans of Goosebumps or the fast-paced "I Survived" books will love how the action jumps from one creepy twist to the next without ever getting too heavy. At just 569 words, even the most reluctant reader can zip through the whole adventure in a single sitting and feel like a hero themselves. Parents will appreciate that the scares are playful rather than truly frightening, and there's a gentle reminder that asking a trusted adult for help is always a smart move.
