About this book
In The Season of Giraffes, giraffes once wandered alongside the people of Niger, but after a series of severe droughts they disappeared. When the rains finally return, the villagers realize the giraffes have not come back and must find a way to help them survive. Through gentle teamwork, they discover how to protect the giraffes and restore the balance of nature. The story shows how humans can change their actions to care for wildlife in a changing climate.
