Description
"I, Ada" is a young adult historical novel about Ada Lovelace, the 19th-century mathematician and daughter of the poet Lord Byron, who is considered the world's first computer programmer. The story follows Ada as she struggles against the restrictions placed on her by her mother and governesses, longing for the freedom to explore her intellectual curiosity and creative imagination. Set in Victorian England, the novel depicts Ada's journey to discover the truth about her notorious father while pursuing her passion for mathematics and machinery. Ada eventually meets Charles Babbage and begins her pioneering work on the Analytical Engine, the early mechanical computer.
