About this book
Ground Zero by Alan Gratz is a historical fiction novel set on September 11, 2001, following Brandon, who is visiting his father at work on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center when the building is attacked. The story also follows Reshmina, a young girl growing up in Afghanistan in the years after 9/11, who dreams of peace and a life free from violence. The novel interweaves these two timelines to explore the impact of the attacks on both sides of the world.
