Quick Summary

The fourth book in the Dorothy Must Die series takes Amy Gumm from the shattered remains of Oz into the equally twisted and dangerous land of Ev, where nothing is as it seems and even the rules of magic have been rewritten. Readers get to see Amy transformed from a regular Kansas girl into a ruthless rebel leader who makes hard choices, battles terrifying creatures, and discovers secrets about her own origins that change everything she thought she knew. If your kid loved the darkly funny rebellion of The Hunger Games mixed with the magical world-building of Wicked, they'll be hooked on this series finale that doesn't shy away from the cost of revolution. With a 5.2 AR level and content about war, betrayal, and morally gray characters, this works best for teens in grades 9-12 who enjoy complex Heroes and Villains gritty fantasy.
