Quick Summary

If your kid loves silly stories with a hint of mystery, this one's a winner. A boy visits his wonderfully mad grandad only to find that random stuff around the house keeps vanishing and it turns out a family of teeny, mischievous kleptomaniacs called the Kleptoes are to blame. The book balances goofy humor with genuine excitement as the characters try to outsmart these tiny thieves, making it a great pick for kids who enjoy chapters that move fast and keep them guessing. At only around 1,500 words, it's perfect for newly independent readers who want something shorter but still packed with personality. Parents will appreciate that it sparks conversations about honesty and cleverness without feeling preachy it's mostly just plain fun. Kids who like Roald Dahl's mischievous side or books like "The Stink" by Megan McDonald will probably gravitate toward this one right away.
