Quick Summary

If your kid's into Batman or superhero stories, this quick little read is a fun way to get them excited about chapter books. Batman and Robin have to deal with a breakout at Arkham Asylum, and things get wild when Poison Ivy teams up with a ginormous Venus flytrap that's basically a plant gone rogue there's something both silly and a little creepy about a giant man-eating plant, which makes it perfect for kids who like their adventures with a dash of spooky. It's only around 1,000 words, so even reluctant readers can power through it without feeling overwhelmed, but it's got enough action and humor to keep them turning pages. Parents will appreciate that it's a solid choice for kids moving from picture books to early chapter books, with short chapters and just enough excitement to feel like a "real" book. If your kid enjoys this, they'd probably also like other DC Comics early readers or anything with a mix of humor and mild thrills.
