Description
Eric, a young novice monk at Lindisfarne Abbey, flees after a confrontation with Father Patrick and is captured by Norse raiders during a storm. While enslaved, he befriends Hilda, an English slave girl, and together they discover a plot to raid English monasteries. The two escapees find themselves part of the raiding party returning to Lindisfarne, where they must try to save the monastery and its inhabitants.
