The story takes place on the windswept shore of Nova Scotia, where salty air and crashing waves set the backdrop for summer adventures. Twelve-year-old Maya arrives at her grandmother's weathered cottage, eager to explore tide pools and learn about the local history. When a new resort project threatens to reshape the beach, she discovers clues to an abandoned shipwreck that might hold the key to stopping the development.
