To Summon a Spirit

To Summon a Spirit follows Jessica Jenkins, a middle-grade reader who, while recovering from glandular fever, begins to slip between the present day and Victorian England. As she moves back and forth in time, she meets a new friend and uncovers shocking secrets about her own family's past. The story blends historical settings with a modern mystery, exploring memory, identity, and the boundaries between past and present. The book is aimed at readers aged roughly ten to fourteen and alternates between contemporary and Victorian scenes.
